GunMuse 200k High Speed Dialup
Gunmuse Dialup ISP (Which has more local dialup numbers than AOL and Netzero) will be available in 200k the instant its available in your area. Unlike Aol and NetZero we use what is called a Pass-through system because we do not "monitor" your net use. This means we have no equipment to upgrade. The only limiting factor to you using 200k per second dialup right now is you don't have a 200k modem. These modems will be reserved for ISP's and Phone companies until February of 2005 and then will be released for public purchase. We are hoping all 17 of our networks will be fully upgraded by April of 2005.
So what is going to be the cost of this new High-Speed dialup. Right now we don't have any changes in pricing planned. As long as the phone companies don't pass a cost on to us we intend to keep the price at its current $9.95 per month.
We have noted that some are not opting for our phone service because they don't recognize the Pre-fixes as local to their area. These are special prefixes issued by the phone company specifically for our use. At any rate we are noticing a large push by our competitors to put on dialup customers as its apparent that this will be the "Right priced" solution for most customers since most servers can only download at 90-150k per second. 200k dialup is really as High speed as any 4Mb/sec cable modem. Its just 1/4th the price.
