Turn on-off the customers
Here are in the second part of this particular tutorial we will start with the activate and deactivate link. By default your links are disabled until approved by a hand check that your doing things properly. We want to make sure that your putting your best foot forward.
As you will find out soon enough you will advertising products that you just can't get. You may at this point be thinking "yeah sure" but I tell you from experience that its the most aggrevating thing in the world. You will use these buttons to turn off advertising for that product or group of products when you can't get them. I found the problem of lack of inventory to be so aggrevating I built GunMuse.com, because 1 dealer complaining about not enough inventory is not as powerful as Hundreds demanding more inventory. I got out of the selling of firearms just to take on this challenge of changing the Firearm industry toward a better future where dealer, distributors, and manufactures actually keep up with more than 60% of customer demand. At the same time we intend to increase that demand by 500% by the end of 2006. Sounds like a dream. Its not. We are AHEAD of Schedule.
You can make a particular item a Featured item. It costs $5 per month to do so. When would you want to use this feature. Hey if you had 10 Winchester 9410 in stock Last summer that would of been a great item. Often New items are Hard to find and these are what you want to feature. Remember that your not selling locally and there is no need to go racing to the bottom on price. Featured bids are shown in two places. First they are shown in our listings they are wrapped in a Box at the top of the search page for that particular keyword. Then they MAY be on the first page of our search engine. Being there has benefits. Google scans that page often and your page with that hot item will show up in Google and Yahoo quickly. Also if its truly Hot and hard to find or there are articles out there on them then you can expect a flood of calls unloading your inventory quickly.
The next feature is the most dangerous thing in any PPC. Its very powerful for keeping a steady flow of customers into your store. At the same time its not something you play guessing games with. You must Calculate ROI to use this feature. Otherwise you are playing with fire. You need to know what the maximum you can bid is before you let a robot take over. You need to make sure that you DID NOT buy any words like "Gun" "ShotGun" or other general term. If you did and you use this I guarantee you're ad budget will just disappear with no sales to speak of. Now that I put some fear into you. This really is a great item. What it does is simple put your ROI number in there and the system will increase your bid whenever someone else joins later and bids 1 cent more than you. You must hit the Autobid button to start this process so if you're not sure what your doing leave it alone. After a few months you will get more comfortable with all this stuff and it will be a feature you will use to keep sales at a comfortable level.
Once you get a big list of listings. You may want to make mass changes to Activate or deactive a whole group of keywords(links). The check box next to the Status will select ALL the check boxes so that you don't have to do them one at a time.
Well we have been staring at this screen for quite some time now. I am sure your ready for me to get on with the lesson. So what we are going to do next is add another "Single" keyword to an existing url. This is handy when you just thought up one new word or found one, whatever the case. So what we want to is
